Nelson Nwaiwu // Senior Project Scheduler

Nelson Nwaiwu brings more than two decades of experience in project controls, scheduling, and risk analysis to his role at KGO. A certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with deep technical expertise, Nelson is known for his precision, analytical mindset, and ability to align complex project schedules with broader strategic objectives.

As a Senior Project Scheduler, Nelson develops and maintains comprehensive construction schedules that clearly define logic, milestones, constraints, and resource requirements. He performs detailed QA/QC reviews of contractor schedule submittals, evaluates critical path performance, and ensures compliance with Earned Value Management standards. His expertise includes schedule integration, recovery planning, delay analysis, and recommending corrective strategies to keep projects on track.

Nelson works closely with preconstruction managers, project managers, contractors, and subject matter experts to support projects from early planning through final construction milestones. His experience spans utilities and large-scale infrastructure projects, where he has analyzed cost, quality, and schedule impacts of design and construction decisions while helping teams proactively mitigate risk.

Earlier in his career, Nelson served in asset integrity and engineering roles within the energy sector, where he developed risk management procedures, led pipeline assessment programs, and supported data-driven decision-making initiatives. This technical background provides him with a strong understanding of field operations and complex infrastructure systems — insight that enhances his effectiveness in schedule development and analysis.
